No, I never watch award shows.
This is my first attempt at painting on china. As I mentioned earlier, my fleur-de-lis technique is tremendously lacking in talent. I am sure I will get better as I go along. I guess it's not too bad for a first try, and the fact that I was sitting on my bed watching TV while I was doing the painting. I think this is where the phrase "old world charm" comes in. Good thing the china is fairly cheap at Pier1 !
Since I never use this blog, (check last post date), I've decided to make it mostly a photo blog. I will be posting pics from my cellphone here. My new phone is no iPhone, but it takes great pics.
An occasional Question of the Day may pop up on occasion too.

Ringtones: What's yours and how often do you change it?

my ringtone is just a generic ringing sound. nothing special. i change it at night to soft mode or silent so it doesn't disturb me or anyone else.
sometimes i will change it to fit the season or circumstance, such as the theme from the movie halloween in october, or the imperial march for when i'm at sci-fi conventions.
If you could get everyone in the world to change their behavior in one way, what would you have them do differently?

i would have everyone try to be more considerate of others' feelings.
Just can't get away from this stuff. This group of shops was about 2 blocks from the beach in Playa del Carmen, Mexico. About one block from the beach was also a Mc Donald's and a Burger King. P. del C. was still beautiful despite all the commercialization that has gone on since my last visit there. I also used one of the dirtiest public restrooms in the world right there on the pier where the ferries to Cozumel dock. Ack!
Better late than never. I tried to send these pics from my phone but they never made it. I'm back home and even though I caught a pretty bad cold on the ship, I still wish I was there.
Here, I am on the beach in Playa del Carmen, Mexico. The water was beautiful! This pic doesn't do the color justice though. Had I known we could go swimming right there I would have worn my bathing suit under my clothes. I did roll up my pants and walk in the water for a bit. Of course my pants got wet becuase of the waves but it was a sunny warm day so they dried quickly.
